BASIC B.SC. NURSING(TOTAL SEATS-40)

I. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission and maximum age 35 years, as on 31st December of the year of admission.

II. Minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English.

III. Candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination, i.e., 10+2. For candidates belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB should be 40%.

IV. The candidate should pass the entrance examination conducted by the institution. The eligibility criteria for passing the entrance examination will be 50 percentile for general and OBC and 40th percentile for SC and ST candidates.

V. Candidates with 40 % -50% of lower extremity disability are eligible to apply.

VI. Only Female candidates are eligible.

VII. The candidate shall be medically fit. (All candidates who are reporting for counseling are required to submit a Certificate of Medical Fitness from Registered Medical Practitioner.)

VIII. Implementation of changes with regard to admission process/selection criteria etc. will be incorporated as per INC and University notification issued from time to time.

M. Sc. NURSING (2 Years Course) : (Total 20 Seats)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

a. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

b. Minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

c. The candidate should have undergone B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

d. Minimum one year of work experience after course completion of Basic B.Sc. Nursing on or before 15th September 2017.

e. The candidates qualifying P. B. B.Sc.(N) from IGNOU through distance education is not eligible for M.Sc.(N) programme if the study centers are not recognized by INC.

f. Minimum one year of work experience after course completion of GNM or Post Basic. B.Sc. Nursing or both on or before 15th September 2017.

g. Only Female candidates are eligible.

h. Candidate shall be medically fit.

i. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.

j. Candidates with 40 % -50% of lower extremity disability are eligible to apply
